Product Details

Spicebush is a fast-growing shrub, useful in moist, shady places. A small amount of sun yields a bush with better form and more berries. This bright and cheerful shrub starts small but can add a wow factor to backyard gardens! Swallowtail butterfly larvae survive on the leaves of this shrub.

Dense clusters of tiny, pale yellow flowers, followed by glossy red fruit. Both the fruit and foliage are aromatic. Leaves golden-yellow colour in fall. Dioecious, so needs male & female plants for berries. Called “forsythia of the wilds” because of early spring yellow flowers.
