Community Tree Planting, POSTPONED!
May 16 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Due to the COVID-19 situation and everyone’s safety, this event has been postponed. Please note that the event is on hold until further notice. We will continue to post updates on our social media platforms and on our website.
Join us for this family-friendly event to plant trees at Arbourview Park and enhance biodiversity in this beautiful green space. All are welcome and students can earn volunteer hours! We are meeting at the parking lot of the West Oak Trails Soccer Fields – Upper Middle Road W and Reeves Gate. For more information, contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org

Here are some tips to have a great tree planting experience:
Please be prompt – the planting site is a 5-minute walk from the parking lot so we plan to leave as a group. We will teach you how to plant trees at the beginning of the event.
Please come dressed for the weather. We plant rain or shine! If it is sunny don’t forget your sunscreen.
Wear sturdy shoes – no sandals or flip-flops!
Bring water in a reusable bottle.
Bring a shovel (labeled) and garden gloves if you can but we have many to lend you if you are not able to bring your own.
Secondary students can earn volunteer hours at our events. Don’t forget your forms!
Consider walking, cycling, carpooling, or taking the bus to our events.
Look forward to seeing you there!
