CONSERVATION HALTON AWARDS 2014

Oakvillegreen was honoured to receive acknowledgement of our nomination by a member of the community, for our efforts in promoting sustainable tree planting in Oakville and engaging community volunteers.

“We so fortunate to have citizens who love to participate in our community tree plantings. They have been a huge success this spring,” said Karen Brock, Oakvillegreen president, who attended the Conservation Halton Awards on Tuesday, June 24 at the Milton Centre for the Arts. “We have planted almost 1000 trees and shrubs this spring, with help from Oakville volunteers.”

“Also, we want to congratulate Sean James of Fernridge Landscaping, whom may of you know from our native plant workshops, for receiving the Education (individual) award”.
