There are many things that you can do to support the environmental health of Oakville. Here is just a short list of ways you can make a difference.

 ACTION ITEMS:

  1. Sign the petition to prevent the clear cutting of trees on private property in Oakville.
  2. Nominate trees for Oakville's Heritage Tree Hunt.

Opportunities to Volunteer:

Oakvillegreen and its associated groups have many opportunities for volunteers. We are currently forming some committees that will be undertaking initiatives related to urban forest preservation and enhancement and energy. If you have an interest in those areas, contact us.

If you have a background in Environmental Science, have worked on Environmental initiatives for any level of government, special knowledge of forestry or trees, special knowledge about organic gardening, or any other specializied training, education or skill you would like to share please contact Liz Benneian and ask about the Think Tank. Liz can be reached at 905-257-0250 or through email.

If you don't know how you could help but would like to become involved, please get in touch with Liz. Oakvillegreen will find a way to match up your interests with the time you have to give you a meaningful way of helping our local environment.
