Oakvillegreen Conservation Association (Oakvillegreen)  is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information. Oakvillegreen does not automatically collect personal information.  If you choose to give us your name, address, phone number, and email address, we may store this information to keep you posted on relevant activities.

When you become a member: We collect the name, home address, home telephone number, and email address of our members. This information is collected through membership forms, telephone and our website. Occasionally, information is also collected in person at special events. We do not provide this information to anyone else unless you give us your permission or unless disclosure is compelled by law. Oakvillegreen does not sell, rent, exchange, or otherwise disclose to any third party information that is provided by our members. 

When you sign up for one of our mailing lists: We will add your name and email address or other contact information that you have provided to our database in order to provide you with updates or news about Oakvillegreen activities. We use this information to notify you about issues and opportunities. We keep the information that you give us confidential. Oakvillegreen does not sell, rent, exchange, or otherwise disclose to any third party information that is provided by individuals who ask to be on our mailing lists. If you change your mind at any time, you can always remove your name from our database.

When you contact us for information: We maintain some records of individuals who contact us for information in case we need to contact them later or provide further information. Again, we do not provide this information to anyone else unless you give us your permission or unless disclosure is compelled by law.

When you log-in as a member of our Forum:  If you register with our Forum you provide personal information including your name and an e-mail address. This information is used to identify you and your contributions to the forums. Remember, any information you post to a forum is available to the public.

When you take action using our Petition Form: If you choose to take action on one or more of our many issues and you enter your name and address on an online petition you are agreeing to make this information public.  Your email address may be used for verification purposes.

Log files

Oakvillegreen collects and uses the information contained within an automatically generated log of all traffic on our web site. The information collected includes IP addresses, browser types, page views.  We use this information in an aggregate form to calculate overall site traffic patterns, to analyze user trends, and to administer the web site. Individual traffic patterns will not be disclosed to any third party.
