Always wanted to know more about trees? Interested in helping trees in your neighbourhood and improving the urban forest canopy?
….Then become an Urban Forest AmbassadorFrom Town of Oakville Forestry:
“In partnership with BioForest Technologies Inc., the Town of Oakville is looking for volunteers to become part of an urban forest health ambassador program. You will learn basic forestry skills including tree identification and what the signs and symptoms are for Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and other invasive insects. You will then apply these skills to help monitor and assess the trees in your neighbourhood. The number of trees monitored is entirely up to you and the time you have available. A healthy urban forest is an integral part of our community, and together we can keep it green!
If you are interested in becoming an ambassador, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by July 14 for details.”
