Announcing New Urban Forest Stewardship Coordinator!

Christen Dschankilic will be joining OCA as Urban Forest Stewardship Coordinator. Christen has recently completed a Masters degree in Forest Conservation and also holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Ecology from the University of Toronto. Previously, Christen has worked for Metrolinx. She also has experience in environmental planning, including natural heritage systems planning and research for the Region of Halton.

We are excited to have Christen on board to launch our Oakville TreeKeepers program. Oakville TreeKeepers aims to empower and train local residents to carry out on-the-ground stewardship activities to improve the health of trees and woodlands in their neighbourhoods.
